Expectations for All Weddings
This is one of the most important days in your clients' lives. Read through this handbook thoroughly, and reach out to Noah if anything is unclear.
Be Prepared
At least one meeting is required with each of your clients, typically 30 days before their wedding date, via video chat or phone call. Discuss all pertinent information: logistics, special moments, photographer timelines, etc. Before the meeting, review their planning account to see what information they've added, what package they selected, and any add-ons they've chosen.
Be On Time
When you discuss the day's proceedings in the final info meeting, you'll determine the best time to begin shooting. When the wedding day arrives, be on time — it alleviates stress for your clients to see you there, set up, and ready to capture the day. Give yourself adequate setup and transition time as well.
Be Flexible
Every wedding is a little different, so be ready to think on your feet. We go above and beyond for our clients — if a little more time is needed, or some extra effort is required, take care of your clients. Additional time beyond the contracted agreement is compensated.
Be Happy
While clients, guests, and family members are enjoying a wedding, we bring our A game. Be cheerful, smile at the guests, say congrats to the couples, call the family by name. Your positive energy resonates with others at the wedding and makes for a better experience.
- At least one meeting is required (phone or video chat)
- Arrive early
- Be ready to go above and beyond
- Smile and enjoy the wedding
Video Packages
Three packages, each building on the last. Because couples book so far in advance, the package they booked may differ from the current offering — check your wage notes on their account for the specific shoot time and film length that applies.
- Individual full-running documentary edits of all main events (ceremony, formal dances, speeches)
- Everything in Zilwaukee
- 1 social media teaser
- 5–8 minute cinematic highlight film
- Coverage of up to one getting-ready location, up to four photo locations, and open dancing footage
- Everything in Blue Water
- 2 social media teasers
- 12–15 minute cinematic highlight film
- Coverage of up to two getting-ready locations, up to four photo locations, and open dancing footage
- External hard drive with raw footage
Clients may also add a Ceremony Only package (shoot and edit of just the ceremony, with the marriage license signing if time permits), raw footage on an external hard drive, or additional hours beyond the package. Your wage notes will reflect anything added to a specific booking.
On-Site Shooting Expectations
You have the creative freedom to capture the day, so long as every main event is filmed in full.
- Two cameras required: one locked off on a tripod for the wide angle, one in hand (ideally on a gimbal) for tight shots
- A running camera filming each event in full — ceremony, grand entrance, speeches, formal dances, etc.
- High-quality audio captured via two devices, so there's a backup — pulling audio directly from the DJ is a good starting point, with a device grabbing ambient audio as a backup
Technical knowledge and expertise with filming and recording equipment is required. There are no restrictions on what equipment is used, so long as it can adequately capture the footage and audio needed.
Delivery of Footage to Editor
The job isn't considered complete until the footage reaches the editor.
- It's the videographer's responsibility to deliver footage to one of our editors for final edits — via cloud transfer or an in-person video/audio dump.
- We advise purchasing an external hard drive dedicated to wedding footage and mailing it to our editors. You'll be given the name and contact info of your assigned editor.
- Footage must be delivered to the editor within 2 weeks of shooting the wedding.
- All raw footage for weddings must be kept for 1 year. At the end of the wedding season, all raw footage needs to be transferred to a Prestige Weddings master drive or the Prestige Weddings Dropbox account.
Delivery of Finished Films
All films are delivered via Dropbox to Prestige Weddings within 3 months of the wedding date. Prestige will create and email a Dropbox link for you to upload the completed edits.
All finished video products remain the intellectual property of Prestige Weddings. Prestige Weddings then delivers the finished products to the client.
All music used in cinematic films must be licensed to use.
Other Video Opportunities
We're always looking for new promotional material — service promos, short commercials, etc. If you have an idea or are inspired to create an additional film from the footage of a wedding you shoot, let us know! We're happy to pay for creative, new material. If you think of something ahead of time, contact Noah to discuss the idea. We're flexible, and we know how talented you are.
Logging Into Your Online Account
We'll create a personal online account for you to keep track of events, clients, and more. We'll send you your username and password to log in. Use this account to submit your availability as well.
